This Half Round Dead Soft Solid Raw Bronze Wire is the same great wire that we use to make our BRONZE jump rings, clasps, ear wires and other findings! HALF ROUND wire is perfect for wire wrapping projects. It is perfect for heavy duty projects and one of our favorite materials to work with. You can polish it, tumble it, oxidize it or leave it to naturally develop a rich patina. This wire is not just re-coiled in the USA, this is MADE in the USA, for us. We offer this in a natural, shiny finish, but we also offer 2 general levels of oxidizing; medium and dark. The MEDIUM oxidizing will have varying shades of brown with possible red and gold tones. The DARK oxidizing will have varying shades of brown, grey and black. The wire will continue to oxidize once exposed to the air and may also loose some of its dark tones as you work with it. You can choose to seal this with Renaissance Wax. You can also use our Synthetic Steel Wool to give it highlights.

We rate this wire to be dead soft....for bronze. We know this can be confusing so we have included a temper chart that compares different types of wire. So this is as soft as solid bronze can be made, but it is still harder than dead soft sterling silver. Make sense?
