While working with a stone and setting, place the grooved part of the plier over one of the prongs. Gently push the prongs over the top of the faceted stone, being careful not to mark the stone or bend one prong more than others causing the stone to sit off center. We recommend working your way around the setting by pushing opposite prongs, adjusting a little bit each time to make sure that there is even pressure across the top of the stone and that the stone is held nice and secure.
