This 430 Grade Stainless Steel Wire does not contain any nickel at all, while many other types contain nickel which is bound and nonreactive, this is ideal for those with VERY sensitive skin as well as customers in the EU. This Stainless Steel Wire is the same great wire that we use to make our high quality jump rings and findings. This Stainless Steel Wire does not work harden. This is perfect for heavy duty projects. It is tarnish free, corrosion free and will last forever! It has a low spring back. This wire is also magnetic....so if you are using a magnetic clasp, this may not be the best choice.
Your wire will arrive with a medium silver-grey tone and an eggshell (matte) finish. We tumble the jump rings and clasps that we make with this wire for 4 hours in mixed steel shot and they come out with a beautiful mirror finish. The shinier versions of 14, 20, 22 and 28 gauge will tumble to a very high sheen in a few hours or use it as is in many applications.
