Bench Block Pad - Our Pick for Dampening when Hammering - Wire Sample Included

We are frequently asked for advice in selecting a Bench Block Pad; these are it! This listing is for your choice of our 2 favorite Bend Block Pads. These pads will hold your anvils and bench blocks in place while you are flattening and filing wire, chasing metal and stamping blanks. They also reduce noise and vibrations.

1. CLOTH - Shown in photos 1 and 3, this is a double-stitched and glued suede bag measuring 5.5 inches square. It is filled with sand.

2. RUBBER - Shown in photos 2 and 4, this is a hard rubber block measuring 4 inches square.

What is the difference? We usually use the suede bag as we feel it does a bit better job in reducing vibrations, but some of our students don't like it as much because it is not flat, so in the end, it is personal preference!
