These hand forged hook brass clasps are the perfect finishing touch to your handmade bracelets. These clasps will hold up to heavy use! They are individually hand crafted, so there will be some variation in each one, but their size is approximately 16mm X 10mm. These are made from 16 gauge rich low brass wire, CDA #230 alloy (85% copper/15% zinc) so are nickel and lead free. Choose from bright, shiny brass - which looks similar to 14kt gold, or antique brass for an instant old look. Each listing is for 1 handmade clasp.

This is a raw brass clasp and it is normal to have a variation of colors on the surface. This is a natural patina that develops or it can be polished or sealed. You can use a polishing cloth, a brass cleaner such as Brass-O or even a number of handmade recipes to polish it. It will never wear out, never chip.
You can also choose to polish it and then apply a clear sealant so it stays bright and shiny.
